How do auditors use the API tool

You’ve probably heard the concept of API access. Definitely, you thought it was some kind of tool that does something that IT developers use. Yes and no.

What is an API request? This is a link that allows you to receive initial information from the network and then process it locally.

An example of an algorithm can be the displaying of any site in a browser: we enter www.google.com into the address bar of the browser; press “enter” we send the request to a server; we receive the requested information, called “response”.

How can an auditor or another financial professional need API requests?

In fact, this is one of the most important problems in the automation of processes in this area.
